STEP 1:  Click here for the online Camp Kroc registration.

Scholarships covering up to 50% of camp costs are available throughout the summer on a limited basis for families that qualify for assistance. Application deadline is May 1.  Scholarships are available for Day Camp only – extended care, junior counselors, and specialty camps are not included.

We strive to make camp accessible for ALL children. Unfortunately, the Kroc Center cannot provide specialized, one-on-one care for any individual camper. Parents of children with special needs must submit an inclusion application AND call the day camp manager at (616) 588-7200 ext 2021 at least two weeks before their desired camp start date to schedule a meeting to determine whether the Kroc Center can provide appropriate accommodations and, most importantly, keep the child safe while in our care. Campers are accepted on a case by case basis.

   2. Counselors and campers work together to create a “group contract” and outline the consequences for misbehavior. We deal with issues pro-actively, by informing campers of expectations and creating an environment that fosters safety, openness and respect.

3.  Bullying of any kind is not acceptable and will be addressed immediately.

4.  Our behavior correction process is a three step system:

Step one: Verbal warning

Step two: Temporary suspension from activity and discussion with Day Camp Manager

Step three: Parents will be notified. If campers do not follow the rules or repeatedly misbehave, we will contact parents and depending on the severity and frequency of the behavior, we may ask parents to remove the child from camp.

5.  Campers are expected to follow our five guidelines for behavior:

-Respect the Kroc

-Respect yourself

-Respect others

-Respect Authority

-Have fun!

If you feel that your camper may struggle with any of the above guidelines,  please fill out an inclusion application to make sure we can provide the best care possible.
