As a 65 year old woman on a fixed income, Mary has COPD and is able to get around by use of a scooter. She has been coming to The Kroc Center's Walter A. Meyer Food Pantry since it opened. Before that, Mary frequented The Salvation Army pantry on Chapin Street. She love the pantry, the staff and volunteers, and doesn't know what she would do without them!
Josh and Monica have been prayerfully seeking a healthier lifestyle. "The first answer to our prayer was The Kroc Center, and the second came when we saw a Daniel Plan flyer," said Josh. Since joining the program, the pair has strengthened both their bodies and their faith. According to Josh, "The support and friendship of our small group has really helped us to stay motivated to keep up the fight towards better health".
