Sustenance in Your Time of Need
Open to anyone in St. Joseph County, we operate a pantry in both our South Bend and Mishawaka offices. If your cupboards are bare, stop in to visit us. Just bring a picture ID and a recent piece of mail. You are welcome to visit our pantry every 30 days, up to 6 visits per year. We are open Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 12:00pm. Find us in South Bend every day except Thursdays, when we serve out of our Mishawaka building on Dodge Avenue.
Three days’ worth of nonperishable food to families of all sizes is provided. The United Way calls us a “model pantry.” We allow you to choose the food you receive and take time to meet you one-on-one after you have visited us a few times. Monthly classes from Purdue Extension also offer you a chance to learn more about healthy eating on a budget.
Through March 2008, we fed 20 people on an average day. Since then, our pantry has grown to feed an average of over 55 people each day.
