Deliciously Home Grown!

“Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.”
–Robert Louis Stevenson
Community garden

If fresh herbs and veggies appeal to you, then stop by our gardens! We partner with Unity Gardens to provide healthy and sustainable dietary options for our community.

The Salvation Army started a small garden in the summer of 2009, and many garden ghosts helped water and weed it. Since moving to the Kroc Center, our garden has grown to include 4 raised beds. We are excited to grow a wide variety of foods so that residents and visitors are free to pick their favorites, or try something new.

Join us May through September, to help plant seeds, pull weeds, and enjoy each other’s company!
