Family Resource Center
A Friendly Place for Your Family’s Enrichment!
Previously known as The Salvation Army Social Services, we have retooled and expanded this area of service under a new name, The Family Resource Center. The Salvation Army has been serving the St. Joseph County community since 1904 and we are excited to expand our services within the Kroc Center. The Family Resource Center includes all of the social services you are familiar with, and more. We are located on the west side of the facility with a private entrance and convenient parking to help maintain your comfort.
The goal of the Family Resource Center is to live out The Salvation Army’s mission statement. Here, we address basic needs for those experiencing a need. Services include: the Walter A. Meyer Food Pantry, emergency financial assistance, our community garden, and Christmas assistance. Trained in discussing finances, the Family Resource Center staff also administers the Kroc scholarship process.
Family Enrichment programs are also available to encourage and inspire you with important life issues such as parenting, family budgets, nutrition, goal setting, etc. Keep an eye on this website for detailed information on upcoming classes in Spring, 2012.
