Location
The Kroc Center sits on a 12-acre campus that features several outdoor amenities, including children’s playgrounds and a lighted outdoor synthetic turf athletic field. The facility is located approximately five blocks west of downtown South Bend at 900 West Western Avenue.
Catering
The Kroc Center has a commercial kitchen and staff that can provide a variety of delicious meal options for your event. A preferred caterers list has also been developed to provide a greater variety of cuisine options. Contact the Event Sales Manager at 574-233-9471 for more information.
Chapel/Auditorium
The Chapel/Auditorium serves as a chapel and a performing arts center. With flexible, moveable seating, this space has the ability to host performance events, music concerts, weddings and theater productions with seating for up to 500 people. The theater has all the elements necessary for creating great productions including a greenroom, large stage, theater lighting and state-of-the-art digital audio/visual equipment. The venue features comfortable seating that is designed to create a lasting experience for both entertainment and worship.
AM General Banquet & Conference Center
The Kroc Center’s Banquet & Conference Center space is elegant and inviting and can accommodate a wide variety of events and parties. Hosting your special event here will provide lasting memories for all who attend. The lovely AM General Banquet & Conference Center space can be utilized as a concert hall, a theater, a meeting space, a wedding reception venue and many other unique gatherings. The banquet/conference rooms are perfect for celebrations, seminars, and corporate meetings. This large space can be divided into three smaller rooms, creating the perfect sized room to suit your event. The AM General Banquet & Conference Center features full audio-visual capabilities, classic and elegant décor and small kitchenettes. Seating capacity for the full room is 272 at round tables.
Also a part of the AM General Banquet & Conference Center is a smaller, stand-alone conference/classroom space, beautifully decorated, and able to accommodate 130 people at round tables. This area also has a kitchenette and full audio/visual capabilities.
Board Room
Our executive Board Room offers a great space for a business, group, club etc., to meet whether for one time or on a regular basis. With seating available for up to 16 people, wireless internet, optional kitchen amenities and television, this space can be utilized in a number of different ways to suit your individual needs.
Party Rooms
Colorful, bright and durable, the Party Rooms are perfect for a child’s special occasion. Bring up to 32 friends for the special party and create a day to remember. The Party Rooms may be split into two 16 person rooms or used as one large room. RJ Kroc loves to party and is waiting to visit with you during your special event.
Outdoor Sun Deck
This lovely brick deck is adjacent to the Aquatics Center and provides a lovely, intimate, private space for an outdoor gathering. Capacity is approximately 75 people with seating at tables for 40.
Recording Studio
So you want to be a star? You have a recording project going and you need a place to record your work? You have the material, but you need to make that demo? The Kroc Center is the place for you! The center features a 310 square foot, audio and video recording studio with green wall, state of the art control booth with editing and mixing capabilities to bring your projects come to life.
Youth Activity Center
The Youth Activity Center offers a variety of activities for youth who love to have fun! The Center includes three gaming stations (Wii, Xbox and PS3), ping pong, foosball, air hockey and plenty of other games and activities. This space can host a garage band concert, poetry slam or other events which require a stage/café environment.
Youth Activity Lounge
This teens-only area is the place to be! A gorgeous internet lounge with bar seating, lounge seating, big screen TV, wireless internet and room for up to 32 people. Come hang out with friends, bring a drink from the Kroc Cafe, watch the Superbowl, have a place to study or simply relax. This is the place where you and all your friends will want to be!
Recreation Spaces
Add a little fun to your special event or team building to your meeting by including a recreation activity in the Gymnasium, Aquatics Center, Climbing Wall or Youth Activity Center.
Rock Climbing Wall
The Eldorado Climbing Wall creates the highest quality rock climbing wall landscape available. Through inspired design, state-of-the-art climbing instructional techniques and consulting, this wall will blow away expectations and bring the spirit and passion of rock climbing to Michiana. Our wall has 25 feet of vertical climbing space with approximately 40 feet in width and four auto belays. With various degrees of difficulty, everyone, from the novice to the most experienced climber will be challenged. The Rock Climbing wall is available for rental as part of a birthday party package, corporate event, or independently as a group activity.
Gymnasium
This multi-use space is a state-of-the-art center for basketball, volleyball and futsal. It can also host large conference events and features a full size NCAA size basketball court which will be the showcase of the Kroc Center Gymnasium, making this space the place for multiple tournaments and activities. The gymnasium can be configured for two full high school court basketball areas running side by side for instructional and tournament action. It can also be set up for two futsal games at a time or three volleyball games. The opportunities are endless with this great maple hardwood field house. The area could also be used for expos, fairs or large audience needs.
Aquatics Center
The Aquatics Center offers an unprecedented water experience for people of all ages to plunge into. Experience a 21’ free fall through a tunnel and quick winding turns into a refreshing splash landing. Float on our lazy river or take a spin in a vortex! Enjoy the thrill of a giant bucket of water crash overhead when the bell sounds and the bucket empties into the pool area below. You may just want to lounge around in the 14 seat hot tub or sit in one of our jetted eddy benches. The Aquatics Center is great for teen lock-ins, large group events or big family parties!

Consumption of alcoholic beverages and/or smoking on Salvation Army property is prohibited. Weapons of any kind are not permitted on the premises.
