In response to COVID-19, we are offering an "E-Learning" Kroc Day Camp this Fall for students in grades K-8.
This camp will provide an opportunity for K-8 students to participate in school e-learning programs in a safe, organized, supervised and fun environment. In addition to structured and assisted e-learning sessions, students will participate in a variety of enrichment activities such as art, music, theater, dance and STEM programs. Physical activities will include swimming, climbing the rockwall, participate in FitKids classes, as well as participating in organized games in the gym or turf field.
Students will be arranged in grade-specific groups of no more than 20, and will participate in all activities within those groups. Students will need to come prepared with their school-issued Chromebook, headphones and a facemask.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
The Kroc Center will provide structured and assisted e-learning sessions, as well as a variety of enrichment programs and physical activities. We will also provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
WHEN IS E-LEARNING CAMP?
E-learning will be held for the first 19-weeks of school (through Christmas Break). Camp is from 8:00am-5:00pm.
When South Bend Schools are not in session, we will continue to hold day camp with the exception of the classroom component. Please note, e-learning accommodations will be made for students with different school schedules.
WHO IS E-LEARNING CAMP FOR?
This camp is for youth in grades K-8. This program is NOT limited to South Bend Community School students, but we will be following the SBCSC calendar.
Please note, we are not able to accommodate students that require one-on-one supervision.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Registration is per week. You can register your child at the Welcome Desk prior to the start of each week, or online by clicking here. Spots can be reserved in advance with a 25% deposit for each week attending (deposits must be made in-person). Please note, spots are limited to 100 children / week..
Scholarships are available. Applications must be received one week prior to your enrollment date. Scholarships will be awarded on a sliding-scale, based on income or unemployment.
